Q: What is AIMMS Storyboard Manager?

A: AIMMS is a professional storyboard management software designed for filmmakers, video producers, and creatives to organize, manage, and visualize their storyboard projects efficiently.

Q: What do I get with a permanent license?

A: A permanent license includes:

• Lifetime access to AIMMS Storyboard Manager v1.x
• All current features and functionality
• Free updates during the v1.x version cycle
• Email-based license delivery and activation
• The license is associated to the individual who owns email address (for business licenses get in touch - licenses@markdkberry.com )

NOTE TO CLARIFY THE UPGRADE CYCLE: A full license gives you perpetual license for v1.x and all versions of 1.x. Future versions 2.x onward will be paid upgrades. This is because version 2.x will include API and additional services requiring a major coding period. Version 1.x will include patches, minor updates, and upgrades to improve existing functionality.

Q: Is there a free trial available?

A: Yes, AIMMS offers a 30-day free trial with full functionality. It is recommended to use this to confirm it will run on your platform and device (Windows and Linux only).

Q: Can I use AIMMS on multiple computers?

A: Your license is tied to your email address and you may activate AIMMS on multiple personal computers. However, the license is for individual use only (for business licenses get in touch - licenses@markdkberry.com ).

License & Activation

Q: How do I receive my license after purchase?

• License purchase will make it available to download via Patreon

Q: How do I activate my license?

A: Licenses must be activated through the AIMMS app licensing dialogue:

1. Launch AIMMS - the licensing window will appear automatically (first run, after trial expiry, or via Help menu)
2. Go to Help → Activate License if the window doesn't appear
3. Click "Browse" and select your license file (.lic) from where you downloaded it to.
4. The license will be validated and activated, then a copy saved to the licensing folder. Keep this safe so you can use it for licensing future updates of AIMMS (license is valid for v1.x).

Q: What if I lose my license file?

A: It's recommended to keep your license file safe somewhere backed up. If you do lose it, contact licenses@markdkberry.com with your purchase email address, including date of purchase. If this is confirmed valid then a replacement license file can be issued.

Q: Can I transfer my license to someone else?

A: Licenses are non-transferable. They can be re-used for all upgrades of AIMMS version 1.x in perpetuity.

Technical Support

Q: What if I encounter technical issues after purchase?

A: A fully functional 30‑day trial is provided so you can confirm the software works correctly in your environment before purchasing a license. If you experience a technical issue after purchase, please contact licenses@markdkberry.com with:

• Your order details including the original email used for licensing

• A description of the issue

• Your system information (OS, version, etc.)

If the issue cannot be resolved, a refund may be offered at our discretion.

Q: What are the system requirements?

A: AIMMS is designed to work on:

• Windows 10/11
• Linux (various distributions)
• 4GB RAM minimum
• minimum 1.5GB disk space (for application size, not your project sizes)

Q: Do you offer refunds?

A: A fully functional 30‑day trial is provided so you can evaluate the software before purchasing a license. Because the product is delivered digitally and can be fully tested in advance, license purchases are generally non‑refundable.

Security & Privacy

Q: How secure is my license?

A: Licenses are:

• Digitally signed using RSA-PSS SHA256 encryption
• You do not need internet access to activate or use the license

Q: Do you store my payment information?

• Purchase is via Patreon and their policy applies.

Q: Is my personal information protected?

A: Yes, we comply with privacy regulations and only collect necessary information for license delivery and support purposes.

International Customers

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: Yes, our digital licenses are available worldwide. Payment processing is handled by Patreon.

Q: Can I pay in my local currency?

Q: Are there any additional fees?

A: No, the price you see is the final price. Any currency conversion fees are handled by Patreon and your bank. Your license will work with AIMMS vrs 1.x in perpetuity (and on all supported platforms). This includes all updates for version 1.x.

Troubleshooting

Q: My license file won't open or shows an error

A: Please check the following:

• Confirm the file downloaded completely and isn’t corrupted

• Ensure you’re running the latest version of AIMMS

• Validate and activate the license through the in‑app license dialog (placing the file directly into application folders will not activate it)

• Licenses need to be re-validated during version updates, and invalid or unauthorised copies may not function in future releases.

If the issue continues, contact licenses@markdkberry.com with your order details so we can verify the license and issue a replacement if appropriate.

Q: I didn't receive my license email
